Funds Provided From Development Finance Banks and Institutions

AFD Sustainable Tourism and Innovative Renewable Energy Loan

Scope: Providing finance to sustainable tourism investments at certain tourism regions located in Turkey and innovative renewable energy investments within Turkey.

Criteria: Minimum AFD contribution should be 25% of the eligible sub-loan amount based on 80% - 20% Debt to Equity breakdown of the project, where the maximum loan allocation amount per project is EUR 10 million.

Tenor: Tenor will be determined according to the project that will be financed; but should have a minimum term of 4 years for sustainable tourism renovation projects and minimum term of 5 years for both sustainable tourism new construction and innovative renewable energy projects.

EBRD Turkey Agribusiness SME Financing Facility (TurAFF)

Scope: Providing finance to the eligible SME Sub-Borrowers operating in the Agribusiness Sector.

Criteria: Loan allocation per amount per project cannot exceed EUR 10 million. If the project is co-financed by TSKB and EBRD, both institutions shall allocate maximum loan amount of EUR 10 million per project which allows maximum total loan amount of EUR 20 million.

Tenor: Tenor will be determined according to the project that will be financed.

EBRD Resource Efficiency Loan

Scope: Providing finance to resource efficiency projects of the privately owned companies operating in Turkey, including water and raw material efficiency, waste minimization, recycling and energy efficiency projects.

Criteria: Loan allocation amount per project cannot exceed EUR 10 million.

Tenor: Tenor will be determined according to the project that will be financed.

European Investment Bank (EIB) Sustainable Tourism & Energy Efficiency Global Loan

Scope: European Investment Bank (EIB) Sustainable Tourism & Energy Efficiency Global Loan

Criteria: Total amount of loan provided to a sub-project from EIB’s resources may not exceed 50% of the total investment cost..

Tenor: Tenor will be determined according to the project that will be financed.

European Investment Bank (EIB) Loan for SMEs Mid-Caps & Other Priorities

Scope: Financing investment projects in Turkey carried out by small and medium-sized enterprises and providing working capital loans. Minimum 40% of the loan will be allocated to SME beneficiaries. This loan is provided with the guarantee of the Republic of Turkey Prime Ministry Undersecretariat of Treasury.

Criteria: The investment cost for SMEs may not exceed EUR 25 million and the investment cost for projects of Mid-Caps may not exceed EUR 50 million. Maximum loan amount for SMEs is EUR 5 million and EUR 12.5 million for Mid-Caps.

Tenor: Tenor will be determined according to the project that will be financed but should have a minimum term of 4 years.

European Investment Bank (EIB) Loan III for SMEs & Mid-Caps & Innovation / A and B Tranches

Scope: Financing investment projects in Turkey carried out by small and medium-sized enterprises and providing working capital loans. Minimum 50% of the loan will be allocated to SME beneficiaries. This loan is provided with the guarantee of the Republic of Turkey Prime Ministry Undersecretariat of Treasury.

Criteria: The investment cost for SMEs may not exceed EUR 25 million and the investment cost for projects of Mid-Caps may not exceed EUR 50 million. Maximum loan amount for SMEs is EUR 5 million and EUR 12.5 million for Mid-Caps.

Tenor: Tenor will be determined according to the project that will be financed but should have a minimum term of 2 years.

Scope: Providing financing for small to medium sized investments in the fields of renewable energy, energy efficiency and projects that substantially increase the environmental performance of industrial processes in Turkey. This loan is provided with the guarantee of the Republic of Turkey Prime Ministry Undersecretariat of Treasury.

Criteria: The amount of financing should not exceed 50% of the total investment amount.

Tenor: Tenor will be determined according to the project that will be financed, minimum tenor being 4 years.

World Bank (IBRD) Additional Financing For Private Sector Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Project

Scope: Financing renewable energy projects and energy efficiency investments implemented by private sector enterprises in Turkey. This loan is provided with the guarantee of the Republic of Turkey Prime Ministry Undersecretariat of Treasury.

Criteria: The amount of financing should not exceed 75% of the total cost of the Project.

Tenor: Tenor will be determined according to the project that will be financed, minimum tenor being 4 years.

World Bank (IBRD) Innovative Access to Finance Project

Scope: Intermediating financing through participation banks and factoring companies to SMEs and export oriented enterprises operating in the private sector in Turkey. This loan is provided with the guarantee of the Republic of Turkey Prime Ministry Undersecretariat of Treasury.

Criteria: TSKB acts as an intermediary bank between IBRD and the participating financial intermediaries; namely participation banks and factoring companies.

Tenor: Tenor will be determined according to the project that will be financed.

IFC Pollution Abatement Loan

Scope: Providing financing to the industrial pollution abatement and resource efficiency sub-projects in Turkey.

Criteria: The loan amount per eligible project will be determined according to the project itself.

Tenor: Tenor will be determined according to the project that will be financed.

IFC Climate Smart Loan

Scope: Providing financing to the renewable energy, resource and energy efficiency investments in Turkey.

Criteria: The loan amount per eligible project will be determined according to the project itself.

Tenor: Tenor will be determined according to the project that will be financed

Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Restricted Mudaraba Financing Facility

Scope: Providing financing to renewable energy projects and energy efficiency investments implemented by enterprises in Turkey. This loan is provided with the guarantee of the Republic of Turkey Prime Ministry Undersecretariat of Treasury.

Criteria: There is no restriction about the scope of the investments and the amount of financing that will be provided.

Tenor: Tenor will be determined according to the project that will be financed.

Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) GREEN Untied Loan to TSKB

Scope: Providing financing for the investment projects in the fields of renewable energy and energy efficiency which seek to reduce GHG emissions within Turkey. This loan is provided with the guarantee of the Republic of Turkey Prime Ministry Undersecretariat of Treasury.

Criteria: The loan amount per eligible project will be determined according to the project itself.

Tenor: Tenor will be determined according to the project that will be financed.

KfW Development Bank Credit Line for Municipal Infrastructure

Scope: Providing financing to municipal infrastructure investments in Turkey. This loan is provided with the guarantee of the Republic of Turkey Prime Ministry Undersecretariat of Treasury.

Criteria: Maximum 80% of the total cost of the project shall be financed. The maximum loan amount per project is EUR 15 million.

Tenor: Tenor will be determined according to the project that will be financed.

KfW Development Bank Climate Protection Programme in Turkey

Scope: Providing financing to investments promoting energy efficiency, renewable energy and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in Turkey. Projects with a positive impact on climate change may also be considered as eligible. This loan is provided with the guarantee of the Republic of Turkey Prime Ministry Undersecretariat of Treasury.

Criteria: Maximum 80% of the total cost of the project shall be financed. The maximum loan allocation amount per project is EUR 8 million.

Tenor: Tenor will be determined according to the project that will be financed.

Criteria: Maximum 80% of the total cost of the project shall be financed. The maximum loan amount per project is EUR 15 million.

Tenor: Tenor will be determined according to the project that will be financed.

OeEB Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Loan

Scope: Providing finance to renewable energy and energy efficiency projects of the privately owned companies operating in Turkey.

Criteria: The maximum loan allocation amount per company is EUR 8 million.

Tenor: Tenor will be determined according to the project that will be financed; but should have a minimum term of 5 years for renewable energy projects and minimum term of 2 years for energy efficiency projects.
