TSKB announced its financial results for the first half of 2026. The Bank performed in line with its targets, elevating total assets by %13 to TL 369,5 billion and raising its support for Türkiye’s sustainable development through long-term cash loans to USD 1,3 billion, while continuing to advance its social-impact projects with determination. TSKB CEO Ozan Uyar stated that, in line with TSKB’s inclusive development vision, the Bank successfully completed the first half in line with its year-end targets.

The Industrial Development Bank of Türkiye (TSKB) announced its financial results for the first half of 2026. According to the Bank’s bank-only financial statements, total assets rose by %13 in the first six months to TL 369,5 billion. During the same period, TSKB provided approximately USD 1,3 billion in support to Türkiye’s economy through long-term cash loans and, with FX-adjusted loan growth of %7,7, expanded its loan portfolio to TL 270,1 billion. With respect to  new loan disbursements, TSKB prioritized climate and earthquake financing; renewable energy projects including storage investments; energy and resource efficiency; capacity expansion in manufacturing; electrification; climate-related industries; and investments supporting women’s employment. As a result, loans accounted for %73 of total assets, while SDG-linked loans represented 93% of the total loan portfolio.

Alongside the growth momentum in the first half, strong fee and commission income and robust income from subsidiaries contributed to a %3 quarter-on-quarter increase in the Bank’s net profit to approximately TL 3 billion. Cumulative net profit declined by %10,2 year-on-year to TL 5.8 billion, due to one-off collection income recognized in the second quarter of 2025. TSKB’s return on equity remained well above the sector average at %24, while its capital adequacy ratio of %19 continued to support the Bank’s targets.

Strong Position in International Capital Markets and Funding Diversification

In the first half, TSKB continued to diversify its international funding sources in line with its sustainable development targets. Following the EUR 150 million circular economy-themed loan agreement signed with the French Development Agency (AFD) in April, the second EUR 300 million tranche under the Financing Adaptation for Growth Project—secured with a partial guarantee from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) and a counter-guarantee from the Ministry of Treasury and Finance of the Republic of Türkiye—was completed, bringing the total project size to EUR 600 million.

In May, TSKB signed a USD 350 million GREEN 4 loan agreement with the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) to support investments in renewable energy, energy efficiency, and water and waste management. As a result, loan agreements signed with development finance institutions in the first half totaled USD 872 million. The Bank further reinforced its strong position in international capital markets in July through a USD 300 million bond issuance with a five-year maturity. It also renewed its syndicated loan at USD 229 million, achieving a roll-over ratio of 111% year-on-year. This brought total funding raised since the beginning of the year to more than USD 1.6 billion.

Growing Contribution from Net Fee and Commission Income to Banking Income

TSKB doubled its fee and commission income year-on-year in the first half of the year, supporting banking income. In the second quarter, advisory and non-cash loan fees remained on track with year-end targets, while contributions from a successfully completed IPO and an M&A advisory service in investment banking also stood out.

TSKB CEO Ozan Uyar: “We completed the first half of 2026 with solid results in line with our year-end targets”

Commenting on the Bank’s first-half results, TSKB CEO Ozan Uyar said: “We completed the first half of 2026 with solid results in line with our year-end targets. In parallel with our sustainable development targets, we continued to diversify our international funding sources and channeled the funding we secured into areas of strategic importance to Türkiye’s competitiveness. In the first six months, we have disbursed a total of USD 1.3 billion in long-term cash loans in areas ranging from climate finance and renewable energy to women’s employment and the circular economy. Over the same period, we supported the Bank’s liquidity by securing approximately USD 1.1 billion in medium- and long-term funding. Thanks to effective balance-sheet management, we maintained a stable net interest margin of %4,5. Our steady and strong NII generation capability, together with fee and commission income that doubled year-on-year and strong income from subsidiaries, enabled us to achieve a return on equity of %24, above the sector average. Building on our distinctive banking performance and guided by our multidimensional approach to development, we will continue to create sustainable value for Türkiye by strengthening competitiveness and focusing on social-impact projects. In line with our ‘Industry and People’ perspective, our priorities will include technological transformation, the transition to a low-carbon economy, the circular economy, climate adaptation and inclusiveness. We are also continue to prepare in recognition of the responsibility that comes with hosting COP31, which will be held in Türkiye for the first time this year. As a bank that has worked to advance Türkiye’s development across every field for 76 years, we aim to take the country’s project-development capacity to the next level and enhance the bankability of projects.”

Impact-Focused Projects Guided by an Inclusive Development Approach

Alongside its banking activities, TSKB continues to implement initiatives that create social value through a multidimensional and inclusive approach to development, with projects spanning education and the arts, gender equality and accessibility. Reflecting an inclusive approach to development that leaves no one behind, the Bank has brought its longstanding work on diversity, equality and accessibility together under its Yellow Line brand. It is also expanding its enriched school libraries project through new library openings. In 2026, TSKB extended its impact to Central Anatolia, bringing the total number of libraries to 14 with three new libraries opened in Nevşehir, Aksaray and Niğde.
