TSKB Opens Sixth School Library in Siverek, Şanlıurfa

As part of the ‘11 libraries in 11 provinces’ project, which was initiated to foster equal educational opportunities and aid in the long-term recovery efforts in 11 provinces impacted by the February 6 earthquakes, TSKB opened its sixth enriched library (Z-library) at the 15 Temmuz Şehitleri Primary and Secondary School in Siverek district of Şanlıurfa. Under the ‘TSKB Centennial of the Republic Library’ school library project, nearly 5 thousand students in earthquake-affected areas have been provided with access to over 25 thousand books.

As part of its vision for quality development and a sustainable future, TSKB (Industrial Development Bank of Türkiye) remains committed to promoting equal educational opportunities and facilitating the sustainable recovery of earthquake-affected provinces.Opening its sixth TSKB Centennial of the Republic Library at the 15 Temmuz Şehitleri Primary and Secondary School in Siverek district of Şanlıurfa as part of the ‘11 libraries in 11 provinces’ project, TSKB aims to enhance children’s access to information, not only through books but also through technology, fostering a fun and engaging learning environment thanks to enriched libraries (Z-libraries).

25 thousand books brought to almost 5 thousand students

As part of the ‘11 libraries in 11 provinces’ project, the Bank inaugurated its first TSKB Centennial of the Republic Library in Adıyaman on September 12, 2023. Subsequently, within 8 months, the project expanded to include six libraries in total, with additions in Gaziantep, Kahramanmaraş, Osmaniye, Adana, and Şanlıurfa.  In this way, TSKB provided 25 thousand books and educational support materials to nearly 5 thousand students across 6 different cities.

Z-libraries, representing the new generation library concept, provide children with convenient access to information and a delightful studying environment. These libraries, known for their aesthetic design, host activities that foster reading skills and promote mental development. Furthermore, children have access to various brain training games, technological tools, and educational support materials.
