Türkiye Green Fund—the first credit-financed venture capital investment fund in Türkiye and worldwide focused on emissions reduction and inclusive transformation—has completed its third investment. The Fund has invested USD 10 million in Disera, a company operating in the medical supplies sector.

Türkiye Green Fund, with TSKB as its anchor investor, has made its third investment, amounting to USD 10 million, in Disera Tıbbi Malzeme Lojistik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. The Fund was established with financing provided by the World Bank under the guarantee of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance of the Republic of Türkiye. Provided entirely through a capital increase and contributing to nature-positive production, the investment aims to support Disera’s green transformation and growth strategies.

By making medium- to long-term investments in companies that create added value in areas with growth and development potential in line with Türkiye’s development plan, Türkiye Green Fund aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and advance the green and inclusive transformation of Türkiye’s economy. The Fund supports environmentally friendly production by companies with efficient production processes operating in sectors covered by the EU Green Deal. It also seeks to mobilize private capital by playing an active role in deepening and diversifying capital markets with a focus on climate finance.

With more than 30 years of experience, Disera is one of the leading companies in the medical supplies sector. As part of this partnership, Disera will implement projects to reduce its carbon footprint, increase the use of renewable energy, improve production efficiency, and strengthen waste and water management. The investment also represents an important step toward accelerating the green transformation of industry through an inclusive approach, in line with Türkiye’s 2053 Net Zero Target.

Commenting on the agreement, TSKB CEO Ozan Uyar said: “For more than 75 years, we have taken pride in breaking new ground to support the multidimensional development of our country and industry. One such pioneering initiative is Türkiye Green Fund, which brings together our expertise in development and investment banking. As we strengthen our joint efforts through Türkiye Green Fund—an important milestone in our long-standing cooperation with the World Bank—we are also resolutely increasing our contribution to our country’s sustainable development goals. We believe this cooperation with Disera is a step not only toward accelerating the green transformation of our industry, but also toward advancing public health through environmentally friendly products compliant with medical device regulations. I hope this important agreement will deliver meaningful and lasting benefits for Disera, all our stakeholders and our country..”

Noting that Türkiye Green Fund’s investment in Disera Tıbbi Malzeme Lojistik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. is strongly aligned with the company’s sustainability vision, Disera A.Ş. General Manager Kenan Deniz Büyükakman said: “This investment is an important indication of the confidence in our sustainable production and growth objectives. Through our cooperation with Türkiye Green Fund, we aim to further strengthen our production and export capacity while reducing our environmental impact.”

Maxis Venture Capital CEO Özgür Temel stated that Türkiye Green Fund continues to support companies’ green transformation processes in line with its decarbonization and inclusive transformation objectives, adding that the investment in Disera is the Fund’s first investment in the healthcare sector. Emphasizing the importance of the steps Disera has taken to date in renewable energy and advanced technology—building on nearly 30 years of industry experience, expertise in medical devices and technology development capabilities—Temel noted that these steps provide a solid foundation for the green transformation investments planned for the period ahead. Temel said: “Through this investment, we aim to support Disera’s growth objectives while improving energy and resource efficiency, reducing environmental impact and further strengthening the company’s sustainability approach in its future investments. We believe the Disera investment will serve as an important example of how growth and green transformation can advance together in the healthcare sector.”

World Bank Country Director for Türkiye Jean-Christophe Carret said: “Mobilizing private capital for climate action and sustainable growth is essential to Türkiye’s green transition. The investment in Disera through the Türkiye Green Fund demonstrates how innovative financing mechanisms can help companies reduce their environmental footprint while enhancing competitiveness, creating jobs, and supporting inclusive growth. We are pleased to support this partnership, which contributes to Türkiye’s 2053 Net Zero ambition and advances the adoption of more sustainable production practices in the healthcare sector. We hope this investment will encourage further private sector investment in green and resilient development.”

Commenting on behalf of Azimut LCP I Private Equity Fund, an existing investor in Disera, Azimut Portföy CEO Murat Salar said: “At Azimut Portföy, Türkiye’s largest independent portfolio management company, we have made alternative investment funds one of our strategic priorities.  Alongside USD 13 billion in assets under management, we aim to reach USD 1 billion in alternative funds within a short period. LCP I GSYF, which we established with Lycian Capital Partners—our strategic partner in Türkiye’s private equity market—has surpassed TRY 3 billion in fund size. Meanwhile, Disera’s performance to date as the Fund’s first investment has further strengthened Azimut Group’s confidence in Türkiye’s real economy and private equity market. We are delighted to welcome Türkiye Green Fund, with TSKB as its anchor investor, as a new investor in Disera and as our partner, and we believe this partnership will accelerate Disera’s growth journey.”

Lycian Capital Partners Managing Partner Gökhan Arıkoç added: “At Lycian Capital, our priority is to create long-term, sustainable value for our portfolio companies. We also regard green transformation as a core element of our value creation strategy. As we work toward making Disera a global player in its field, we are pleased to welcome a strong institutional investor that shares our vision—such as Türkiye Green Fund, with TSKB as its anchor investor—into our partnership.”
