100 million EUR loan to TSKB for supporting the women employment

TSKB has obtained 100 million EUR loan from the French Development Agency for the purpose of financing occupational health and safety investments as well as the investments of the companies which support gender equality and women employment in Turkey.

The Industrial Development Bank of Turkey (TSKB) has obtained 100 million EUR loan from the French Development Agency (AFD) in order to provide financing for the investments of companies, which support gender equality and the employment of women in the work environment, as well as the occupational health and safety investments of the companies, in Turkey.

TSKB has obtained 100 million EUR loan from the French Development Agency (AFD). The loan agreement was signed between AFD and TSKB in Istanbul, on December 7, 2016.

With this loan, it is aimed to finance occupational health and safety investments as well as the investments of the companies which support gender equality and women employment in Turkey.

Suat İnce, the CEO of TSKB, who stated that this loan has great importance in terms of the support provided by TSKB for women employment, said, “Gender equality is among our priorities in TSKB. The 55 percent share of our women employees is one of the indicators that we are mostly proud of, which shows the importance of this topic. With the agreement signed between AFD and TSKB, we are aiming to extend our approach on women employment throughout our country, in particular to increase the awareness of the real sector. With every woman who participates the business life and improves her economic condition makes us to move a step closer to our objective.”

Suat İnce, who pointed out the esteemed cooperation between TSKB and AFD dating back to 2005, continued as follows: “With AFD, we have cooperated in numerous different areas, such as energy, SMEs, and sustainable tourism within the last 10 years. Through this loan agreement we have signed today, the total amount of the loans we have obtained from AFD has reached 310 million EUR. Although every single project that we finance by AFD loans is very valuable, our new cooperation on the women employment has a particular importance.”
