The preservation of cultural and historical artifacts is treated as a cornerstone of sustainability for TSKB. Since 2016, we have been supporting the works on the excavation of the ancient city of Patara, which is an important cultural asset in our country, in joint efforts with Türkiye İş Bankası and ŞişeCam.

Patara was the capital of the Lycian League and Province, and is located near the town of Kalkan in Antalya's Kaş district. Patara is home to magnificent archaeological ruins with its amphitheatre, parliament, temple, horrea (storage structures), stadium, baths and churches which have survived to the present day.

In addition to the unique monuments such as the "Lighthouse" and the "Road Guide Monument", it also hosts a complex which served as the first Ottoman Radio Telegraph Station from 1905. The excavation of the ancient city of Patara has been carried out over a period of nearly 30 years by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Fahri Işık and Prof. Dr. Havva İşkan Işık, who are faculty members of the Department of Classical Archeology at the Faculty of Letters, Akdeniz University.
