TSKB obtains a 150 million USD Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Loan from JBIC

Industrial Development Bank of Turkey (TSKB) has obtained a 150 million USD loan from Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC). The loan will be used for financing the renewable energy and energy efficiency investments aiming to reduce greenhouse gas emissions across Turkey.

Industrial Development Bank of Turkey (TSKB) has obtained a 150 million USD loan from Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC), which will be used for financing the renewable energy and energy efficiency investments aiming to reduce greenhouse gas emissions throughout Turkey.

The 12 year maturity loan is expected to be available under the Turkish Treasury’s guarantee.

Speaking at the signing ceremony of the loan agreement, Orhan Beşkök, Senior Executive Vice President of TSKB, said: "With this loan agreement signed with JBIC, we are very pleased to provide additional funds for the investments, which will reduce our country's dependence on foreign sources for energy and carbon footprint. We will continue to add momentum to our support for investments that will increase the country's energy generation capacity, while ensuring transition to a low carbon economy".
