TSKB received two awards for Carbon Reporting

TSKB ranked among the companies with highest scores in “Transparency” and “Performance” categories under “CDP Turkey 2013 Climate Change Leaders” awards and received awards in both categories.

CDP (Caron Disclosure Project), a platform inviting ISE 100 index companies for sharing management strategies regarding business risk associated with greenhouse gas emissions and climate change with investors, announced Turkey 2013 Climate Change Leaders. As ranking one of top four companies in “Transparency” category and taking place among the top seven companies in “Performance” category by increasing its rate to B, TSKB received awards in both categories.

The award received by TSKB Senior Vice General Manager Orhan Beşkök during the publicity meeting held for “CDP Turkey 2013 Climate Change Report” on November 26 Tuesday. Beşkök said, “We provide financial support and consultancy for the transition of the Turkish private sector to lower carbon and more efficient production level. As Turkey’s first carbon neutral and ISO 14064 Greenhouse Gas Certified bank of Turkey, we measure our environmental impacts arising from our activities and effectively manage them by developing improvement plans. The award we received for the performance and transparency confirms that we are on the right track.”
