TSKB to receive both Euromoney and PFI awards

Turkey’s first private investment and development bank TSKB (Industrial Development Bank of Turkey) has received “Euromoney ProjectFinance Deal of the Year” award with its Mersin Port and Gurmat Electricity Generation projects. The award ceremony will be held on March 6, simultaneously in New York, London, Hong Kong and Dubai. Additionally, the Bank’s Mersin Port project has received PFI’s “Infrastructure Deal of the Year” award in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Within the context of Euromoney Awards, the Mersin Port project has received “European Transport Port Deal of the Year” award, whereas the Gurmat Electricity Generation project has received “European Renewables Geothermal Deal of the Year” award. The Gurmat Electricity Generation project has also brought awards to Akbank, Isbank, Eurobank Tekfen, VakifBank and West LB; whereas the Mersin Port project has also brought awards to mandated lead arrangers HVB, ABN Amro, GE, Garanti Bank and Isbank.

In 2004, TSKB received “Best Local Partner” award given within the context of Euromoney’s “Awards for Excellence – 2004”, and in 2005, the Bank received “Best Merger and Acquisition House” award given within the context of “Awards for Excellence – 2005.” In 2005, TSKB Real Estate Appraisal Company received Euromoney’s “Best Real Estate Advisor” award.
