TSKB’s New General Manager Fevzi Onat

Fevzi Onat was assigned as the new General Manager of Industrial Development Bank of Turkey (TSKB), the first private investment and development bank of Turkey. Fevzi Onat, who took over the position of General Manager of TSKB from Halil Eroğlu as of May 30, became the 7th General Manager of the Corporation. Fevzi Onat will take the lead of the TSKB team, who have been providing service to their business partners with the goal to lead and support the development of the Turkish private sector and capital markets. Following statement was made by TSKB at the date of May 30, 2011 in the announcement published in the Disclosure Platform (KAP – Kamuoyu Aydınlatma Platformu): “Mr. Halil Eroğlu, Member of the Board of Directors and General Manager of our Bank, resigned from the Board of Directors as well as from his office as General Manager as of 30.05.2011 due to his retirement. Mr. Habip Fevzi Onat was elected to the Membership of the Board of Directors which became vacant due to the resignation, within the frame of Article 315 of the Turkish Trade Act. Mr. Habip Fevzi Onat who was elected as Member of the Board of Directors, is proposed as the General Manager of our Bank, whereas he will commence his office as General Manager as soon as the legal procedure stipulated in the Banking Law has been fulfilled.”

H. Fevzi Onat

Born in 1959 in Ankara, Fevzi Onat is a graduate of Hacettepe University, Faculty of Social and Administrational Sciences, Department of Economy. Onat started his office as intern/apprentice Supervisor Assistant in the Supervisory Board of İş Bankası in 1981, then assigned as Manager Assistant of the Corporate Credits Management in 1993, to the Investigation and Financial Analysis Directorate in 1997, to the Corporate Credits Directorate in 1998, to the Directorate of the Yenişehir/Ankara Branch in 2001, and became Vice General Manager in 2002. Onat, who was elected as member of the Board of Directors of Türkiye İş Bankası at the dates of Mart 28, 2008 and March 31, 2011, had performed the task of Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors during the same periods.
