60 Million Euro "Sustainable Tourism and Innovative Renewable Energy" Loan from Agence Française de Développement to Industrial Development Bank of Türkiye

Industrial Development Bank of Türkiye (TSKB) obtained 60 million Euro loan from Agence Française de Développement (AFD), to be utilized in sustainable tourism and innovative renewable energy investments. Industrial Development Bank of Türkiye (TSKB), the first private development and investment bank of Türkiye, obtained 60 million Euro loan from Agence Française de Développement (AFD). The agreement for the loan, which was received to support sustainable tourism investments in certain tourism regions of Türkiye and innovative renewable energy projects of the companies within the country, was signed on October 2nd, 2014, in Istanbul.

With this agreement, the total amount of the loans obtained by the Industrial Development Bank of Türkiye from AFD so far, has reached 210 million Euros.

Orhan Beşkök, Senior Executive Vice President of Industrial Development Bank of Türkiye, emphasized that the loan received from AFD will be utilized to support sustainable tourism investments and innovative projects in the field of renewable energy, and said: "We think that the tourism and renewable energy industries are of great importance for the sustainable development of our country. The reality of climate change imposes significant responsibilities on organizations which are active in the tourism industry. For tourism industry to be sustainable, the environmental, social and economic aspects should be taken into account to the maximum extent for the investments in this field. The need for environment-friendly renewable energy resources and innovative projects that will increase our country's existing installed power is continuously growing. We are glad that we will be able to provide additional financing to investments for sustainable development thanks to the loan we obtained from AFD."
