TSKB Centennial of the Republic Libraries

TSKB Centennial of the Republic Libraries

In the aftermath of the devastating earthquakes, we launched a comprehensive education initiative to help ensure the continuity of learning in the affected regions. With this objective, we set out to establish enriched school libraries featuring thousands of books, as well as a wide range of educational support materials and mind games designed to foster children’s cognitive development. The first library under our TSKB Centennial of the Republic Libraries project was inaugurated in September 2023 at Mehmet Akif Ersoy Primary School in Gölbaşı, Adıyaman.

In the first quarter of 2025, we successfully fulfilled our commitment to establish 11 libraries across the 11 provinces affected by the earthquakes. Designed as modern social learning spaces distinguished by their aesthetic and ergonomic features, our enriched libraries (Z-Libraries) encourage students to develop a love of learning and facilitate access to knowledge. To date, we have connected more than 8,000 students with over 60,000 books, while also providing a variety of mind games, technological equipment and educational support tools that contribute to children’s intellectual development.

To further expand the impact of the project, we extended our enriched school libraries initiative to the Central Anatolia Region in 2026. In April 2026, we inaugurated new libraries at Sultan Alparslan Primary and Secondary School in Nevşehir, Yavuz Sultan Selim Regional Boarding Secondary School in Aksaray, and Keçikalesi Atatürk Primary School in Niğde. Through the enriched libraries established in Adıyaman, Gaziantep, Kahramanmaraş, Adana, Osmaniye, Şanlıurfa, Diyarbakır, Hatay, Kilis, Malatya, Elazığ, Nevşehir, Niğde and Aksaray, we have so far brought TSKB Centennial of the Republic Libraries to a total of 14 schools.
