"Tomorrow's Female Stars" Selected

12 gifted, young female musicians found eligible for "Tomorrow's Female Stars: Young Female Musicians Support Fund", launched three years ago under IKSV's Istanbul Music Festival in cooperation with TSKB, are named.

In the third year of the "Tomorrow's Female Stars: Young Female Musicians Support Fund", launched three years ago under IKSV's Istanbul Music Festival in cooperation with the Industrial Development Bank of Turkey (TSKB), 12 gifted, young female musicians will be supported to advance their careers in the international arena in the branches of instruments, vocals and conductorship. The project aims to support gifted female musicians in the categories of instruments, vocals and conductorship since 2018, and the support fund, to which all ticket proceeds under the project will be channeled, intends to open new horizons for young female musicians in the international arena. In addition, the candidates found eligible by the jury for support will perform on stage during the Tomorrow's Female Stars concert to be held as part of the 48th Istanbul Music Festival.

Applications by young female musicians were evaluated by the jury, which was headed by Yesim Gürer Oymak, a musicologist and the Deputy General Director at İKSV, and composed of Cem Mansur, a conductor and the General Art Director at CRR Concert Hall; Hakan Şensoy, a conductor and violinist; Ufuk & Bahar Dördüncü, a piano duo; and İris Şentürker, a pianist.
