The awards ceremony organized as part of TIREC 2011 in which new and creative clean energy projects in Türkiye were evaluated was held in Polat Renaissance Hotel Istanbul on the 20th of September, 2011. TSKB which undertakes a significant role in the economic growth and environmental development of Türkiye through its understanding of sustainable banking at international standards has won the “Best Solution Partner Prize” in Wind Power Awards Türkiye.

TSKB Project Financing Section Manager Meltem Gürsoy who stated that she was very proud of the award won by TSKB in this field stated that “ As TSKB we continue to be active in the financing of energy sector. In this field, especially renewable energy and the projects aimed at utilizing Türkiye's own resources has been a major focus for us starting from the first day. Among the renewable energy and energy effectiveness projects financed by us, the number of the wind power plants increases each year. An outcome was obtained in wind power plant applications which were made in 2007 and expected to be licensed. The projects included within 8.700 MW package were matched with their owners in the e-tenders made. Although the disappearance of uncertainty is a positive improvement, when we consider current market conditions and the price of purchase guarantee, we saw that very high contribution values were offered. In any case it is predicted within the following 3-4 year period, an investment amounted at approximately 15 billion Dollars and a need for renewable energy loan amounted at almost 11-12 billion Dollars will arise. As a requirement of our bank, our special mission, any infrastructure investment/project developed by private sector which is aimed at improving and developing our country is within the scope of our interest and focus. Therefore we attach great importance to the progress made in this field.”
