The TSKB Career Workshop, which took place on April 16-18, 2015, gave university students a chance to experience the real world of banking. The TSKB Career Workshop is the only recruitment workshop in the field of investment and development banking. This year, for the first time, the workshop had a zero carbon footprint.

In 2008, TSKB began work to erase its carbon footprint, and has since become Turkey's first carbon-neutral bank. TSKB reset all of the carbon emissions produced by the 6th Career Workshop with the Gold Standard Certificate received from an organization that invests in clean energy. As in previous years, university seniors studying business, economics, and industrial engineering; and graduate students studying finance or economics at universities offering education in English - a total of 42 students - took part in the workshop. Working in teams, students from various disciplines honed their skills by developing three different projects related to investment and development banking. The students, who developed projects related to sustainability, financial analysis, project evaluation, and brand management, also had the opportunity to listen to the experiences of mentors working in different departments of TSKB and to receive advice on career development.

Additionally, the students completed the "Rhythm of Life" workshop with Mehmet Auf. This activity allowed students to experience the dynamics of business life and the expectations of professionalism. The students listened to fun presentations on how to generate a spirit of teamwork in business. In her talk entitled "Make an Impression with Your Brand," personal image consultant Suna Kabadayı gave Participants important information on creating a personal brand for their professional lives.

Speaking on TSKB's unique approach to the 6th Career Workshop, Çiğdem İçel, Executive Vice President responsible for Treasury and Human Resources, said "The TSKB Career Workshop, which is the first and only one of its kind in the field, has taken another pioneering step by having a zero carbon footprint. TSKB reset all of the carbon emissions produced by the 6th Career Workshop with the Gold Standard Certificate received from an organization that invests in clean energy."

TSKB Executive Vice President Çiğdem İçel pointed out that the Career Workshop was as much an opportunity for the organization as it was for the students, adding, "We conceived and developed the Career Workshop as a way to develop newly graduating candidates in order to sustain TSKB's develop and progress. Every year new candidates, equaling nearly five percent of our banking staff, join our team."
