110 MW Renewable Energy Collaboration from TSKB and Poweren Elektrik

Launched by TSKB in cooperation with Maxis Venture Capital, TSKB Venture Capital Investment Fund has made its first investment with Poweren Elektrik. Through the fund, it collaborated with Poweren Elektrik to introduce 110 MW SPP and WPP projects with storage. Aiming to contribute to Türkiye's renewable energy targets, this strategic partnership will also lend impetus to sustainable energy investments.

Sustaining its innovative financing practices implemented with the vision of offering qualified support to Türkiye's sustainable and inclusive development, TSKB (Industrial Development Bank of Türkiye) has made its first investment through TSKB Venture Capital Investment Fund launched in cooperation with Maxis Venture Capital. TSKB continues to support Türkiye's sustainable energy initiatives and carbon reduction commitments via this investment by acquiring a minority stake in Poweren Elektrik.

Operating with solar power plants with an installed capacity of 20 MW, Poweren Elektrik will launch 110 MW SPP and WPP projects with storage in Konya, Tekirdağ and Edirne through this collaboration. TSKB Venture Capital Investment Fund will continue to support projects that will add value to the country's inclusive and sustainable development as well as this partnership, which will make a significant contribution to Türkiye's achievement of its renewable energy targets.

TSKB started its cooperation with Poweren Elektrik by lending for solar power plant (SPP) investments in 2020 and strengthened this cooperation with financial and technical advisory services on financial strategy, investment feasibility and company valuation in 2021.

Commenting on the cooperation, TSKB CEO Murat Bilgiç said, "As TSKB, we have been conducting our activities with the vision of inclusive development and a sustainable future since the day we were founded, and we continue to steadily grow our support to the strategic development areas of our country. By supporting Poweren Elektrik's renewable energy projects, we aim to contribute to the achievement of Türkiye's energy targets."

Sharing his opinions on the subject, Maxis CEO Özgür Temel made the following remarks: "As Maxis Venture Capital, we attach importance to supporting projects that provide added value for our country in the field of renewable energy. Thus, we are happy that the first investment of TSKB Venture Capital Investment Fund established together with TSKB has been made in this field. Through our investment, we aim to contribute to the new projects to be launched by Poweren Elektrik."
