TSKB Career Workshop Celebrates 10th Anniversary
The 10th TSKB Career Workshop, the first and only recruitment workshop in the field of development and investment banking, was held on April 29, 2023. TSKB Executive Vice President Özlem Bağdatlı said, “As a bank that pursues a mission of sustainability in any field, we believe sustainability in human resources is all about raising our own managers and executives. “We will continue our investments in young talents with TSKB Career Workshop, which is a very important event for us.”
TSKB Career Workshop, where TSKB, which differentiates itself in Türkiye with its sustainable banking model, meets the young talents it has recruited in the last 10 years, provides them with feedback on their competencies and potential, and supports them in their career plans, was held on April 29 this year. TSKB Career Workshop is the first and only recruitment workshop in the field of development and investment banking. This year, the event hosted a total of 38 senior university students and graduate students studying management, economics, and industrial engineering in foreign-languages at universities.
Within the scope of the workshop organized under the slogan ‘Show Your Difference’, students had the opportunity to receive information from experienced TSKB employees about the sustainable banking model, financing of development investments and investment banking practices. Before the workshop, candidates also participated in trainings such as “Techniques for Preparing Effective Presentations”, “Finance for Non-Financiers” and “Efficient Communication” through TSKB’s training and development platform GOO. TSKB coaches, who received competency assessment training to objectively evaluate participants, accompanied the talents throughout the workshop.
The creative presentations prepared by the students using financial analysis tools and sectoral information were evaluated by a jury consisting of the Bank’s executives and the members of the most successful group were awarded. The workshop also hosted many exciting activities for young people to get to know each other and learn about the working environment at TSKB. The goal is for these new talents to start their TSKB careers as soon as possible at the end of the workshop.

Özlem Bağdatlı, TSKB’s Executive Vice President in charge of human resources activities, commented on this year’s workshop and its participants: “Every year, we design TSKB Career Workshop, where we start investing in the young talents who are candidates to become TSKB employees, in line with our Bank’s strategic goals and the need for Management Trainees (MTs) in our different business lines. Until today, nearly 400 students have been introduced to development and investment banking through these workshops, and we have added many young and talented colleagues to our team. I can say that 20 percent of our banking staff currently consists of people who joined us through the Career Workshop. This year, after the pandemic, we are happy to organize the Career Workshop face-to-face again. After an intensive application process and rigorous interviews, some of the students who were qualified for our workshop will join TSKB teams in the coming days. As a Bank that pursues a mission of sustainability in all its activities , we believe sustainability in human resources is all about raising and developing our own managers and executives among the Bank. We will continue our investments in young talents with TSKB Career Workshop.”
