This Year’s TSKB Development Day Held with the Theme of Charting the Development Course in a Rapidly Transforming World

Türkiye's first and only private-equity development and investment bank with a history of 75 years, TSKB held its third TSKB Development Day Conference in Istanbul to contribute to an inclusive and sustainable future. Bringing together national and international representatives from academia, finance and business, the conference focused on multidimensional development under the theme of Charting the Development Course in a Rapidly Transforming World. TSKB CEO Ozan Uyar said, “As one of the key pillars of Türkiye's inclusive and sustainable development, we feel the responsibility of charting the right course and taking strategic steps in line with our development strategy more than ever before in this era of rapid change and uncertainty. Therefore, we will continue to cooperate with our stakeholders to create tangible benefits on an economic, environmental, social and cultural scale, and to raise the bar even higher for an inclusive, equitable and sustainable future.”

Industrial Development Bank of Türkiye (TSKB), Türkiye's first and only private-equity development and investment bank, held its third annual TSKB Development Day conference. The conference was held at Swissôtel The Bosphorus Istanbul on June 3 under the theme of Charting the Development Course in a Rapidly Transforming World and was attended by leading national and international speakers.

The conference has addressed the development agenda with a different theme each year since 2024. This year’s conference featured prominent figures such as Professor Ian Goldin, Professor of Globalization and Development, Associate Professor Canan Dağdeviren, and artist Memo Akten.

In his opening speech, TSKB CEO Ozan Uyar said, “In the past 76 years, we have been strengthening our deep-rooted TSKB legacy through our national and international business partnerships and long-term projects. Today, we combine this legacy with our country's sustainable and inclusive strategic development goals and continue to grow the TSKB impact. We expand our uninterrupted support for Türkiye's production power, its triple transformation and the realization of inclusive development goals, and we continue to drive sustainable development through renewable energy, circular economy, women and youth employment, social investments, advisory services, and innovative financing models.”

Hakan Güldağ, Board Chairman of Ekonomi Newspaper, the conference's media partner, also addressed the participants. Following the opening speeches, the program continued with a keynote speech by Professor Ian Goldin, Professor of Globalization and Development at the University of Oxford. Associate Professor Canan Dağdeviren from MIT Media Lab, TSKB Chief Economist and Director Dr. Burcu Ünüvar, TSKB Executive Vice President Hasan Hepkaya, Limak Investment Project Finance Director Ebru Nur Yıldız, Özaltın Holding CFO Selin Refik, Beko R&D Senior Director Soner Kahraman, artist and computer scientist Memo Akten also spoke at the conference. The entrepreneurship panel moderated by Ekonomi Newspaper Coordinator Didem Eryar Ünlü hosted Werover Founding Partner and CEO Balca Yılmaz and Binclusive Founder and CEO Atakan Nalbant as panelists. Following the conference, the Ferit Odman Quintet performed during the cocktail reception.
