TSKB Inaugurates Seventh School Library in Diyarbakır, Continuing ‘11 Libraries in 11 Provinces’ Project
Committed to inclusive and multifaceted quality development for 74 years, TSKB opened its seventh school library at Koru Köyü Hacı Ali Kaya Primary School and Koru Secondary School in Diyarbakır’s Dicle district as part of the ‘11 Libraries in 11 Provinces’ project launched in 2023. Speaking at the opening ceremony of the TSKB Centennial of the Republic Library, TSKB CEO Murat Bilgiç stated, “At TSKB, our focus has been on the swift economic, social, and cultural recovery of the provinces impacted by the devastating earthquake that deeply affected us all. As part of this meaningful project we launched to ensure lasting improvement and support equal opportunities in education, we have opened our seventh school library in Diyarbakır. Our hopes for the future are kept alive by contributing to the development of quality education within the framework of our vision for a sustainable future and sharing the joy of our children through our TSKB Centennial of the Republic Library.”
With a vision of quality development for a sustainable future, TSKB opened the seventh TSKB Centennial of the Republic Library at Koru Köyü Hacı Ali Kaya Primary School and Koru Secondary School in Diyarbakır’s Dicle district. This follows the libraries in Adıyaman, Gaziantep, Kahramanmaraş, Adana, Osmaniye, and Şanlıurfa as part of the ‘11 Libraries in 11 Provinces’ project, which TSKB has committed to complete by 2025.
7 School Libraries Opened in 7 Different Provinces
In September 2023, the Bank opened the first school library in Gölbaşı district of Adıyaman, named the ‘TSKB Centennial of the Republic Library’. With the opening of the seventh enriched library in Diyarbakır, the Bank has now provided a total of nearly 30 thousand books to 5300 students.

Distinguished by its aesthetic and ergonomic design, the library, crafted in the format of an enriched library (Z-Library), doubles as a social activity area aimed at fostering students’ passion for knowledge and facilitating seamless learning practices. Equipped with over 4 thousand books, diverse brain-stimulating games, technological resources, and educational support tools, it aims to enhance children’s reading skills and cognitive development.
