TSKB Inaugurates the 8th School Library of ‘11 Libraries in 11 Provinces’ Project in Hatay Anatolian High School
Working with a focus on inclusive development for many years, TSKB opened the 8th school library in Hatay Anatolian High School under the '11 Libraries in 11 Provinces' project, which was launched in 2023 to contribute to quality education in cities affected by the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş. Speaking at the opening ceremony of the TSKB Centennial of the Republic Library in Hatay, TSKB CEO Murat Bilgiç said, "We have launched this project to support permanent recovery and equal opportunities in education in cities that suffered major economic and social damage in the earthquake disaster. In this respect, we are very happy to open our 8th school library in Hatay Anatolian High School in such short period as one year."
Continuing to engage in activities with the vision of inclusive and qualified development for a sustainable future, TSKB (Industrial Development Bank of Türkiye) opened the eighth TSKB Centennial of the Republic Library in Hatay Anatolian High School after Adıyaman, Gaziantep, Kahramanmaraş, Adana, Osmaniye, Şanlıurfa and Diyarbakır under the "11 Libraries in 11 Provinces" project, which it has committed to complete by 2025 starting from September 2023. Through the project, the Bank will open libraries in Kilis, Elazığ and Malatya by the end of May 2025, fulfilling its commitment to open 11 libraries in 11 provinces.
Hatay Anatolian High School continues to offer education with 530 students after the earthquakes. In addition to thousands of books, the library opened by TSKB also includes chess and various mind games. A special unit called the "TSKB Study Area" was created outside the library, where a total of 4,000 books, mainly novels recommended by the Turkish Ministry of National Education, were made available to students. Established for senior students preparing for university exams, the "TSKB Study Area" will be put into service in October.
In September 2023, TSKB opened its first school library in Gölbaşı district of Adıyaman under the name 'TSKB Centennial of the Republic Library'. With the eighth school library opened in Hatay, TSKB has so far provided nearly 6 thousand students with around 35 thousand books as well as various mind games and educational support equipment.
