TSKB receives award for “The Company with the Highest Corporate Governance Rating Score” in Corporate Governance Awards

TSKB, the first private investment and development bank of Turkey, has received The Company with the Highest Corporate Governance Rating Score Award in 5th International Corporate Governance Summit organized by the Corporate Governance Association of Turkey (TKYD).

The 2nd Corporate Governance Awards organized by the Corporate Governance Association of Turkey, acting with the mission to introduce and develop the corporate governance understanding in Turkey and to implement it with best practices, have been presented to the winners on January 17, 2012.

TSKB received its award in The Company with the Highest Corporate Governance Rating Score category of 2nd Corporate Governance Awards from Capital Markets Board of Turkey Chairman Prof. Dr. Vedat Akgiray.

The Corporate Governance Awards is organized by considering the rating scores of the companies listed in ISE’s (Istanbul Stock Exchange) Corporate Governance Index* and aims to create an awareness related to the topic and to introduce the best practices.

The Corporate Governance Awards has been organized for the second time under the leadership of TKYD, who aims to develop the corporate governance practices by establishing a communication network between the private sector, public organizations, media, regulators, non-governmental organizations and academic world.

Receiving the award in the category The Company with the Highest Corporate Governance Rating Score of 2nd Corporate Governance Awards, Executive Vice President of TSKB responsible for Financial Control and Capital Markets Ömer Eryılmaz said, “As TSKB, we are proud of having the Highest Rating Score this year in the Corporate Governance Awards where we have also received an award last year. We will continue to be an exemplary bank in the sector by duly applying the Corporate Governance Principles in the coming years.”
